Steve Dickinson

Steve Dickinson, a prolific Canadian singer-songwriter has the ability to embrace his stories within the psyche of the listener. His crisp, clear vocals and melodic roots type songs feel reminiscent of his influences, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and Van Morrison. Yet, Steve is able to maintain his own unique and distinctive sound. As for his musical style, it can be considered "a modern approach to classic rock" A style loved by many which makes Steve's music very crossover. In 1996, Steve released his first independent cd entitled "Blindside" which was an overwhelming success. He had the natural ability to merge his brand of "rock and rural" into a solid product which earned him steady rotation on more than 60 radio stations across Canada and around the world. Steve later released a four-song EP, "Four Down" in the year 2000, exploring his country roots. Radio honed in on the singles "Invisible Man", "Thinking of You" and a remake of "She's A Rebel". The momentum didn't stop there!   Video networks gave significant rotation to "Holdin Her'' yet another single. Steve Dickinson was ecstatic when the opportunity arose to open for well-known acts such as "Trooper" and   "Lawrence Gowan". As well, Jeff Healey was in the mix in his earlier days. Steve's incredible vocals and stage presence won over audiences everywhere.
